Hydration and Health
♨ How much water should you be drinking?

Drinking the right amount of water has a positive effect on your health and wellbeing so it is important to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Most of us know that drinking water is essential for the health of your body but did you know that low levels of hydration have a detrimental effect on your ability to concentrate and think clearly.

Your body can only survive for a few days without water because we have no ability to retain reserves in our bodies which is why regular drinking of water is essential for your long term health.

♨ Get into the habit of drinking more water throughout the day.

Drinking water at night and replenishing early morning will avoid nightime dehydration.

Use the water facilities at work and if you are on the move take a bottle with you.

Keep a bottle of water in the car for longer journeys.

Include foods that have a high water content in your diet, such as soups, salads and juices. This makes it easier to keep hydrated.

Remember to balance out tea and coffee consumption with water consumption.

Watch out for early signs of dehydration such as mild headaches, tiredness and irritability. Drinking a glass of water now will ease the symptoms but preferably don't leave it this late.

Drink water as part of your healthy and happy lifestyle.
